Conventional PCB Assembly

We understand that there are many situations in electronic manufacturing where conventional PCB assembly is the best approach - complex board layouts, bulky components and small production runs, to name but a few. In our long experience, we’ve built PCBs for a hugely diverse range of products using a variety of constructional techniques.

We’ll work with you to find the manufacturing solution to meet your needs. Whether you require double-sided PCBs or need to combine surface mount with conventional assembly, our skilled and experienced staff have the expertise to turn your design into a finished product.

Our manual assembly work is supported by automation where appropriate. We use Blakell LS4000 light-guided assembly stations to ensure accuracy when building boards with large component counts. To achieve the highest standards of reliability, we employ our Blundell CMS400D flow-soldering machine with Chipwave. This has a 400 mm width capacity, and provides secondary wave capability for surface mount soldering. This machine was converted to lead-free soldering in 2006.
